| Kneissl Messtechnik was initially founded
by Georg Kneissl in Leonberg near Stuttgart in 1994 as a one-man
firm for length measuring techniques. Over the years Kneissl
Messtechnik grew constantly and the range of products and
services has envolved. The most significant development has
been the installation of a service department for optical measuring
systems. In 2002 the company's legal form has changed into
the limited company Kneissl Messtechnik GmbH.
At the same time the circle of shareholders has been enlarged
with the aim to give the company a solid base for the challenges
of the future. New capacities have been created, the structure
and the support has been optimized and the services have been
extended to satisfy our customers quicker and more efficient
all in the sense of an excellent CRM. Referring to the motto
of "CORRECTNESS & COMPETENCE".
Kneissl Messtechnik always being obliged to highest quality
has taken another step towards a perfect calibration and maintenance
service for optical measuring systems. That's why end of 2003
KM has been announced for the accredit in the field of calibration
of optical systems at the German Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt
(PTB) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Getting this certificate
end of summer 2005, KM will be one of the first laboratories
in Germany being accredited in this field - a convincing proof
for the quality standard which could have been developed by
KM over the past 10 years in the field of length measuring
technology not least to the close contact with the users.
In 2001 Kneissl Messtechnik has become the exclusive representant
in Baden-Württemberg for NIKON
optical measuring systems. In 2002 KM has also taken over
the servicing for these systems in Baden-Württemberg
and also in Bavaria.
To offer also a perfect calibration service for small measuring
tools, especially for gauge blocks, we have installed a new calibration laboratory at our side which is now operational.
Today we advise and supply to an international clientele.
All over Europe.
